Vikash Selvin

I am a Computer Science enthusiast, currently working as a Software Engineering Intern at 23andMe Inc in the areas of Spark, HBase, Python . Prior to this, I worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Commvault Systems and MapR Technologies where I worked on interesting areas like Recommendation Engines, Security, Deep learning. I learned a lot by solving challenging problems and collaborating with great teams and engineers. Prior to that I worked with Tata Consultancy Services Ltd for 4.5 years in the areas of Data Warehousing, Databases, BI, Reporting. I have a strong exposure in insurance domain and technologies like Ab Initio, IBM DB2, Korn Shell Scripting etc. I have led teams both at offshore and onsite and worked on projects from inception to delivery and post production support thereby having been involved in all stages of the SDLC. As I am passionate about Machine Learning, Big Data I decided to pursue M.S. in Computer Science and my coursework includes Big Data Analytics, Python for Data Science, Information Retrieval Systems, Machine Learning for Malware Analysis etc. I look forward to learning more about Deep Learning and its applications in Image Recognition.
