As technology is advancing so are our needs and hence we try if machines can automate all kinds of performance done by humans. Since humans are better at natural perception tasks than machines it is therefore impossible for machines to do such tasks with 100% accuracy. When the progress slows down after it has surpassed the human level it becomes difficult for us to increase the progress. This is the main problem why machines still lack in performing such tasks with 100% accuracy.

Hyperthermia is a treatment device by which cancer cells can be damaged. In this mode of treatment, electromagnetic fields are used for increasing the temperature of malignant tissues at a sufficiently high level for destroying them. In this presentation, radiofrequency (RF) and microwave heating techniques are reviewed. Examples of heating patterns of various applicators are shown to illustrate the complex energy deposition of RF and microwave energy in tissues.
