As a career Combat Medic and UAV Technology Specialist who treated improvised explosive device (IED) blast injuries during deployments with combat engineers in route clearance operations , I am particularly interested in developing and deploying intelligent drones for use in route clearance operations and explosive ordnance disposal to mitigate the hazards EOD personnel are exposed to. While completing graduate studies in software engineering at Harvard University, my goal is to research and develop intelligent drone swarm technology for rapid deployment in mine and unexploded ordnance (UXO) infested regions such as my birth place of Laos and U.S. military theaters of operation throughout the world including Iraq and Afghanistan.
