Amita Kapoor

Amita Kapoor is Associate Professor in a college in the University of Delhi. She has 20+ years of experience of teaching to students of varied age groups and education level. She did her Masters in Electronics from Jamia Milia Islamia in the year 1996, and her PhD from the University of Delhi in the year 2011. During the course of her Ph.D., she was awarded the prestigious DAAD fellowship to pursue a part of her research work in Institute of Photonics and Quantum Electronics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. She has been awarded best Presentation Award at International Conference Photonics 2008. She supervises PhD students in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotics. She was also the coordinator of the Cisco Local Academy from 2002-2015. She was instrumental in setting up Robotics Club at SRCASW under the MHRD, GOI, e-Yantra program in 2015. She is a member of professional bodies like OSA (Optical Society of America), IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), INNS (International Neural Network Society), and ISBS (Indian Society for Buddhist Studies). She has more than 40 publication in the international journals and conferences. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks, Robotics, and Buddhism
