Hi im Harvey, a first year electronics and computer engineering Masters student. My passions are embedded systems and HPC. I have been into programming basically since i learned to read and write. I spend a lot of my spare time writing c++ code to do silly things and sometimes serious projects. Currently i am learning intels OneAPI and applying it to some existing projects i work on such as Gavin AI and some custom software i wrote to benchmark performance of a processor using various methods for vector operations (Scalar, AVX, AVX2, AVX512 & DPC++). In the future i intent to work on calculating mathematical constants using OneAPI and custom extended precision floats and intend to check out Machine Learning focused aspects of the toolkit for application to Gavin AI if they prove to be advantageous to the project.
