Intel Student Ambassador Program Quarterly Newsletter | April 2020

The Latest and Greatest in 2020

Ambassadors! In case you missed it - the Intel Student Ambassador Program is evolving in 2020 with Intel’s latest software initiative, oneAPI. This new direction means more opportunities for innovation and creativity for our developer community at large.
As an Intel Student Ambassador, you will gain access to intel’s latest software offering - oneAPI. With that, you gain the ability to simplify programming and help improve efficiency and innovation, across the latest Intel® CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs, Intel® oneAPI Toolkits, Intel AI Analytics toolkit using the new programming language, Data-Parallel C (DPC). This will be of high interest for any Ambassadors targeting HPC workloads or those familiar with CUDA, SYCL, and or OpenCL.
With all of these changes, we are excited to continue focusing on building community with you, and you with your local community.

What to Expect from Us

  • To better serve you we will be sending you a form where you can update your contact information and identify areas of interest per topics like oneAPI for data center HPC, or IOT for AI on the edge. Be on the lookout for that communication.
  • If you've ever wanted to be more involved, now is your chance! More details on the exciting launch of our Student Ambassador Advisory Council to come.
  • We are looking for proof points of oneAPI that demonstrate the use of DPC++ to execute code across two or more architectures. We will be providing details on scope and opportunities soon.
  • A new oneAPI certification program will be made available in the coming weeks. We look forward to seeing Student Ambassadors working toward these new credentials, where you can earn credit and designation as certified oneAPI Master, and or a oneAPI Certified Instructor.
